We use node-passport to get an access key for a user, then use this module to make requests on behalf of the authenticated user.

How do yo do that? when i get an api key, the api key only works for like half and hour and gets invalidated, so at least in my side that is not very usefull.

@yayolius Hi man! I'm not the owner of this module but I asked a similar question some time ago: #24.

Basically, you have to check with Google if your token is valid or has experienced. In the latter case, you have to renew it before calling the node-gmail-api module. I think this is not so cool, and we're having some problems with it. But this is the way of proceeding with this module.

In our case, we are planning to create our own Gmail api module, so we will provide support to token refresh. Hope my answer helps you ;).
