I've analyzed this issue and here's my understanding and proposed implementation plan:

Root Cause Analysis:

The garbled output when running mvn compile is a character encoding mismatch. In src/integrations/terminal/ExecaTerminalProcess.ts, the execa subprocess environment unconditionally overrides LANG and LC_ALL to en_US.UTF-8:

On Chinese Windows systems, the default console encoding is GBK (code page 936). Maven (via Java) respects the system encoding and outputs Chinese characters in GBK. However, because we force en_US.UTF-8, tools like Java/Maven may produce mixed-encoding output, or the output bytes get decoded incorrectly, resulting in mojibake.

Proposed Fix:

1. In ExecaTerminalProcess.ts, only set LANG and LC_ALL as fallback defaults -- i.e., only when they are not already present in the user's environment (process.env). This preserves the user's locale settings while still providing the UTF-8 fallback for systems that don't have these set (which was the original intent for Ruby/CocoaPods).
