[Bug]: Some videos cause device overheating during playback #134

Description

@lelam183

What happened?

Some videos cause severe overheating during playback regardless of resolution or codec, tested 1080p and 4K, H.264 and AV1, all overheat the same. Other videos on the same app play fine with normal temperatures. The issue seems to be something specific to certain video streams.
Overheating videos:

The Infinite Twin Prime Problem
How Scientists Tracked Down a GPS Jammer in Space
Reinventing Entropy | Compression Is Intelligence Part 1

Devices tested:

Lenovo Legion Y700 Pro Gen 4 (Snapdragon 8 Elite, Adreno 830, Android 15) → overheats
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra → overheats
Honor Magic 8 Pro (Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Adreno 840, Android 16) → elevated but controlled

Thermal readings:

Overheating videos: 70–90°C
Normal videos: 42–46°C
Honor Magic 8 Pro runs warmer than usual (45–48°C vs 40–43°C baseline) but doesn't hit dangerous temps

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the videos above on TypeType (YouTube source)
  2. Let it play and check the resource usage and thermal on the device
