MinIO has been taken closed source so their open-source code and docker images will no longer receive any updates.
We only use MinIO in our local, docker-compose stack to have a fully self-contained environment for development. An alternative used by Lakekeeper in their examples is SeaweedFS. We should migrate to this so we're not falling behind the recommended tools and storing problems for the future.
