files not edited via the VS Code editor are not synced

Files that are not edited via the VS Code editor do not get synced but this is a common scenario using git when you might check out a new branch and files get modified.

FileSync does not sync those files. Can this be supported?

you could add a command that the user can run to force sync all files in the source to destination

I think that's doable. I'll look into doing that.
