We experimented with Options A and B (issue1), and it looks like Option B is the winner. Implementing multi-variate support to both options (issue2) proved quite difficult. ## Acceptance criteria - [ ] Option B prevails — there is at least one direct use of Option A components, need refactor. - [ ] Multi-variate support is present - [ ] Code is moved to an `experimental` namespace, and components earn clear naming, e.g. no "option" terminology.
