I hope to add lyric paragraphs and adjust font size.

I'd like to add the ability to adjust the paragraphs and font size of lyrics. Currently, my tests with GTP files containing lyrics don't allow for flexible control. If you have such an option, please let me know. My solution is to insert an ID into each text tag. Thank you.

There is currently no way to control the font size of the lyrics specifically. It uses the general effectFont which also affects other elements like "Tap/Slap/Pop", "Let-Ring/Palm-Muted", "Capo", "Tuning", "Beat Text", "Free Time".

Not sure what you mean by "adjust paragraphs"? Generally these options are available to manually inject lyrics to the data model:

• Every Beat has a lyrics:string[] which can be filled with the lyrics to show. You can take your lyrics input and apply it across the data model as you need it (after the GP files is loaded).
• You could use Track.applyLyrics if you want to use the same special GuitarPro lyrics syntax. Simply create instances of the alphaTab.model.Lyrics class with startBar and text filled and pass them to Track.applyLyrics. It will then spread the "chunks" across the beats.

Maybe you can share a full example on what customizations you want to do (and why) so I think of possible extensions for alphaTab. e.g. do you need specific styles for different lines, do you "format/highlight" some parts. There are many ways to extend alphaTab once we figured out the exact needs 😉

What I’m trying to achieve is the following: for example, if there are 5 paragraphs of lyrics, the vertical spacing between each paragraph is too small. When I increase the font size, the paragraphs start to overlap, which makes the lyrics very hard to read.
So I would like to adjust the vertical spacing between lyric paragraphs.

I'm currently trying the method you suggested. Guitar Pro itself does not provide a way to adjust this spacing.

Thanks for the insights. I understand from the screenshot how the current behavior is problematic and I added #2396 as an improvement.

Unfortunately the current options make it tricky to adjust font sizes and spacings for lyrics specifically. The best option would be to locally patch alphaTab. If you use alphaTab through a package manager and a bundler, you could use mechanisms like https://www.npmjs.com/package/patch-package or https://pnpm.io/cli/patch to patch the related code pieces. Or you simply manually change the file and place it in your app.
