I have been using your Chinese open-source models, which are freely available to developers worldwide. However, I am confused that these models, originating from China, do not support users in China. As an open-source project, it should embrace all contributors and users, including those in its home region. Could you please clarify the reason for this restriction? I hope to see this issue resolved to align with the inclusive spirit of open source.

Yes, sorry, the models actually are costly to run, requiring rented GPU's.

The ad revenue we get in Western countries is quite a bit, but even if we had native Chinese ads, they would pay about 1/10th as much, which would lose us money. It could only work with an extremely small model, much worse than the models we are serving today.
