[macOS 27 Beta 3] Screen recording permission dialog is unresponsive and cannot be dismissed #1994

Description

@noahniweb3

Description

When Cap requests permission to bypass the system private window picker, the macOS permission dialog becomes completely unresponsive.

Neither Allow nor Open System Settings responds when clicked. The dialog also cannot be dismissed with the Escape key or closed normally, and it remains floating above other windows.

Cap does not appear in the Force Quit Applications list, so I cannot dismiss the dialog by force-quitting Cap.

Expected behavior:

Clicking Allow should grant permission and close the dialog.
Clicking Open System Settings should open the relevant privacy settings.
The dialog should remain interactive and dismissible.

Actual behavior:

Both buttons are unresponsive.
The dialog cannot be closed.
The dialog remains on screen even though Cap is not listed among the running applications that can be force-quit.

This may be a compatibility issue with macOS 27 Beta 3 and the system replayd screen-capture permission process.

Reproduction
Launch Cap.
Attempt to start a screen recording with system audio.

Wait for the following macOS permission dialog to appear:

“Cap” is requesting to bypass the system private window picker and directly access your screen and audio.

Click Allow or Open System Settings.
Observe that neither button responds and the dialog cannot be dismissed.
Additional Context
Cap version: [please fill in]
Operating system: macOS 27 Beta 3
Device: [please fill in]
Screenshot: attached

The issue appears to involve the macOS system permission dialog rather than a normal Cap application window. Restarting the replayd process with killall replayd, or restarting macOS, may be required to remove it.
