Cyrillic support?

Hi,

can we see cyrillic support and more languages (bulgarian) in the near future? I know game uses textures but will be still possible if one re-creates them or just get them from russian bootlegs of games which supported cyrillic (tools will ne to be updated too i guess since they dont display them now properly). I really wanted to introduce this legend of a game to my 8 year old nephew.

this would be a really big mod, and i don't think the priorities there are modding the game, its recreating the entire vanilla ctr on PC natively, mods comes later with forks

not really answering your question, but you can use ctr-native to run any versions of the game based on NTSC-U data.
you can translate russian release using existing ctr-tools and run it both in emulators and ctr-native.

Thank you for your answer! Yes, even before asking ive tested and saw that russian bootlegs works, but as i said tools might need to be updated since they dont display or encode/decode cyrillic properly.

Heres the screenshot showing what or actually how tools display russian text (its in en.lng since they replaced it). Writing inside in pure cyrillic doesnt show anything in-game (blank).

bootleg translations only worked with what they had, they simply swapped english glyphs with new glyphs, so L triggered Г.
what you see is what is actually written in the executable.
you can decode it to another set of chars using cmd version of the lang tool.
