Import note as snippet note

Hi

I imported some .py snippets. I imported them by drag and drop into the folder pane. it works except that I get no syntax highlight.

I made sure that snippet mode and Python mode are the default one prior to import.

I am using the Boostnote 0.11.12 on Windows

This might be an an issuw with the fact that the file is named like "curve.py.md"

I see you're using markdown note. You have to wrap your code into a code block to enable syntax highlight in markdown note (Just like how github markdown works).

Yes, but would not it be much nicer if it actually respects the header or the file name?

The files came as straight text with .py in the header, wittout any "```" enclosings.

I actually have hundreds of files that I want to import into BNote. That is a sizable job to enclose them properly.

What would be even nicer is to dedicate folders as certain file types (if chosen), that way BN interprets them as what the user dictates.

Currently, we handle import as markdown note and there's no way to import a file as a snippet note. I'll set this as a feature request. Maybe someone can implement this functionality.
